  • 00 - 08 = Savings
  • 09 = Money Market
  • 10 - 11 = Checking
  • 12 = Christmas Club
  • 15 = Visa Payment
  • 16 = Visa Secured Share
  • 17 - 19 = IRA Shares
  • 25 = Line of Credit Loans 
  • 30 - 40 = Regular Loans
  • 50 = HELOC Loans
  • 60 - 69 = Certificates

Check your statement or call the Credit Union for the suffix you need.

Use the  Hour  Line for balance inquiries, rate information, transfers, ordering check withdrawals in advance, placing a stop payment on checks, balancing your checking account using the list of the last ten checks that have cleared, and many other services.

 Share Savings

These accounts, comparable to passbook savings at other financial institutions are the basic savings accounts at GHAFCU. Share savings accounts earn dividends from the date of deposit to the date of withdrawal on all balances exceeding $500 minimum. Dividends are compounded and paid quarterly. A share savings account may be opened with a minimum of $25. Subsequent deposit may be made in any amount via payroll deduction, direct deposit or over the counter transactions. A minimum balance of $25 is required to retain membership at GHAFCU.

 Share Draft/Checking

No monthly service charge, no per-check charge and  no minimum balance requirement

Standard checks and designer checks are available at a very reasonable cost.

2009 CANCELLED CHECKS AVAILABLE on CD

The Credit Union is now offering a CD with copies of all of your canceled checks for the past year. The CD includes its own search engine and requires no additional software to run. You will have availability to search and view images by date, check number or dollar amount. You can view the front and back of each item and they will print both on a single page. The cost for this CD is $20.00.  Please contact us at the office or through our website if you are interested.

  Holiday Accounts

Holiday  accounts are deposit accounts that help members save specifically for holiday shopping. Members make weekly or bi-weekly deposits of ie. $5, $10, $20 or $25 or more  over a 50-week period. You can start you account at any time. You will get out of it whatever you put in! Funds are deposited in your share account at  the end of October for easier access.

  Vacation Club Accounts

Build savings for your next vacation or any special purpose with complete access to the funds any time of the year. There is no minimum balance requirement.

  US Saving Bonds

U.S. Savings Series EE and Series I Bonds. These bonds earn high interest rates and are an excellent alternative to a cash gift.

  • SERIES EE BONDS
    These bonds are purchased at 50 percent of face value.
    Interest is tax-deferred until the bond is redeemed.
    These bonds are redeemable after six months.
    These bonds are eligible for education use tax breaks.
  • SERIES I BONDS
    Are purchased at face value.
    Earn a fixed rate of return and their principal will be adjusted to offset the effects of inflation.
    Earn interest for 30 years.
    Are eligible for education use tax breaks.

  Money Market Accounts

A Liquid Savings Account with premium dividend rates on a minimum balance of $2,500 .
No monthly fee or penalty (if balance falls below the minimum,  the dividend rate drops to the current savings rate).
Additional deposits are allowed and up to six transfers per month (three may be by check).

  Term Share Certificates

Designed for investors seeking both yield and liquidity, our share certificate program offer automatic rollover and maturity options of 3 months  to 5 years. Minimum deposits from $1000.

  Money Orders

The Credit Union offers money orders for a fee of $2.00 each.

  American Express Travelers Checks

Now you and your traveling companion can enjoy the convenience of using the same Cheques/Cards, whether you're together or apart.

  Direct Deposit

Save yourself a trip to the Credit Union by using Direct Deposit to automatically deposit your paycheck into a GHA FCU account. Use Direct Deposit to automatically deposit a specified portion of your paycheck into your Credit Union account(s). It's a great way to regularly deposit savings.

If you would rather begin your weekend than battle traffic on your way to the credit union, then you need direct deposit in your life!

Payroll, Government, Income Tax Returns and Retirement Checks are eligible for Direct Deposit. To initiate Direct Deposit of U.S. Treasury Checks (i.e., Social Security, Civil Pension, Disability), contact a customer service representative for a Sign-up Form. For private employer pay, please consult your employer to originate Direct Deposit. The Credit Unions Routing and Transit # is 221174045.

  Automatic Teller Machine

Members can access their accounts around the clock at Cirrus® or NYCE® ACCEL, The Exchange ATM networks. The ATM offers the ability to withdraw, transfer or check balances 24 hours a day. A $1.00 transaction fee will be charged for each withdrawal or inquiry transaction (that is at a non-Credit Union Machine) Transaction at the GHA Credit Union Atm is free of charge. Be aware, however, that non-Credit Union Machines may assess a "surcharge", if you do not use the Allpoint network. If your card is lost or stolen please call 1-800-554-8969.

  Home Banking


Now you can access all your accounts through the Internet from anywhere in the world. This secure service offers a wide range of features and it is easy to use. Online Banking allows you to:

  • View account history and check your balances
  • Transfer money between accounts
  • Transfer loan payments online
  • Request a Check from your account
  • View interest and dividend information on your accounts
  • Verify if a check has cleared your account
  • Place stop payments on lost checks
  • Download your Statement to Quicken or Money (QIF)
  • Request a copy of Your statements
  • Sign up for Estatement or ENotices

Click on HOME BANKING. Enter your member number (which can be found on your monthly or quarterly statement) and a PIN number. If you do not have a PIN number please email us through the website and we will get you started.

For our members who would like to be able to move money between their spouse's or children's accounts please contact our office for special details.

  Bill Payer-e-Pay

e-Pay is an electronic bill payer application that allows members to access, view, and pay their monthly bills over the Internet from anywhere at anytime the monthly cost is $5.65.

With e-Pay, members can visit our Web site, click on a specially designed link and enroll to pay their bills online. With this service, members can perform functions such as entering and maintaining payees, scheduling payments, and examining and downloading payment history data.

Electronic Bill Payment simplifies bill paying and saves time. With this system, there are no more trips to the mailbox, checks to sign, stamps to buy, or envelopes to lick. Members can pay their bills (electric, telephone, credit card, insurance, etc.) online 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Once a member has signed up for Electronic Bill Payment, he or she can schedule payments to be made directly from his or her checking account. These payments can be made promptly or members can schedule them to be made automatically on a specific day each month.

A brief overview:
Once you have decided to use this convenient service, you must thoroughly complete the set up process. It is very important that you enter your checking account number correctly when using our e-Pay system. To ensure no mistakes are made, please be sure to have your checkbook in front of you.

Listed below are sample checking numbers as they appear at the bottom of all NSFCU checks:

Our routing and tracking number is 9 digits between the "|: |:" symbols Your checking account number is to the left of the "||" symbol. Please do not include the zeros. This is the check number. It should match the number in the upper right corner.

  Ira Accounts

We offer members two types of IRAs:

  • A Traditional IRA is a tax-deferred personal retirement account. Your contribution each year may be tax deductible depending on how much money you earn, your maritial status and whether you contribute to a 401(k) plan at work.
  •  With a Roth IRA, your contribution is not tax-deductible, but when you retire and begin making withdrawals, you may do so tax-free.

  ATM Master Check Card

Master Check Cards allow you to withdraw funds from you checking account without ever having to write a check. You can use your Master Check Card anywhere you see the Master Card Logo. You can purchase groceries, gas or anything else and the money will come directly out of your checking account. No more writing checks and showing two forms of identification. Best of all, there is no charge for using the Master Check Card or no annual fee.
